NYC and CA Salary Transparency Law = Raises?

Have you received raises or ask for a raise after seeing what other Employers are offering? Have you ever negotiated working less hours IF a raise isn’t on the table?

No, I have seen the opposite. How poorly companies are paying for Director and above level positions. Makes me appreciate my job more.

I lost my job during covid and found a new job a year later but I had to take 35% salary cut for the same responsibilities. Ageism is definitively more present since covid. I have been trying to negotiate a raise since my reviews were excellent without success. It seems that the job market and salary range has been seriously affected since 2020. The industry has changed so much in the last 30 years!

Only benefits seems for assistant/associate through designer level, not above senior level- unless big box retailer/huge corps.
Especially last year, associates were being offered up to 90 depending on experiences.
