Isaac Morris Ltd reviews anyone?

Hi- Curious on current feedback from anyone that has worked for this company? How is the work/life balance? How does upper management treat employees– good communication, any hybrid flexibility to wfh 1 day a week or as needed? How are the benefits (insurance/401k, etc?) Would you recommend this company to a friend in the industry? thanks in advance!

Hi NJFashion,

There is no work/life balance at Isaac Morris. People are there constantly working all the time. Very old school environment no hybrid flexibility except for some teams but not all teams. Upper management treatment of employees varies by the team your in. From what I personally experienced, management does not act like managers or leaders. They are just there because they were referred or they just take a high title but don’t have the real experience managing people. Some of them are not proactive when it comes to getting things done for their own teams. Too laid back and lazy meanwhile their employees are struggling because they don’t have the support needed that the manager can keep pushing for. There’s some managers there that have huge egos and excuses themselves when they snap at people and don’t apologize for it. They just go on with their lives while you feel like crap from it still. Some people are very cliquey and don’t include everyone on their team when they do factory lunches and the whole team works with the particular factories. There’s people there that are actually doing their jobs doing all the work meanwhile managers are kicking it being on their phone and having loose conversations. There are racist undertones in there where qualified people who are not white should have been promoted to managers or got raises and they stay stagnated and don’t grow. There’s people there who actually act like managers and do the work of a manger, has the soft skills plus business skills and everything and they don’t get promoted. A lot of unfair treatment. Very poor communication when there’s an issue of how you feel about what they said to you or how they treat you, it gets either dismissed or they find something petty to throw in your face so they are not the only ones at fault. It’s a very gossipy rumor mill environment. People talk about other people right infront of your face. They do a lot of sneaky things to get people fired. Very bad operational procedures. They struggle with setting proper procedures to work properly. Very dirty and nasty office. Cleaning people dont clean the office properly. Bathrooms are just as gross. Benefits are super high for no reason. Would not recommend working here unless you really need the money to pay bills. But in my opinion any place where there’s a lot of drama and burnout is not worth it unless you really need finances. But be looking for better if you ever step foot in there.

In this day in age - beggars can’t be choosers. So even though IML is not the most ideal work situation, I think as long as you know that going into it–STACK THOSE CHIPS and think TEMPORARY. Keep looking for a better gig but also give yourself a break…maybe give it 6 months to 1 year at the very least. I never worked there, but have worked for another manufacturer of which they entered into a shady most likely not kosher sub-licensing agreement with them. But ya, old school and just straight up crap they’re making but ya gotta eat and pay bills soooooo…Compartmentalizing is a great skill for these types of companies and do the bear minimum without half stepping.
