You might want to reach out to your network on LinkedIn letting them know how you can help their businesses grow. I did that to a handful of people I used to work with or went to school with and found a great paying gig.
Maven can be great if there’s interest in your field. It tends to lean heavy on engineers and more technical but never hurts to be registered.
Upwork is also good but can lean more junior???
Registering with agencies can be really good. JBC… And even media agencies like Hawke Media who have small national clients (they are in L.A.) but they’re whole shtick is “Your outsourced CMO” and have all levers firing across different channels of business (mostly retail as it pertains to social media, digital)
